Role Summary

Role type

Reinsurance placement partner

Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because broker and client interaction is central to how the analysis is used.

Entry-level P&C reinsurance actuarial role in Minneapolis, starting Summer 2027. You will support reinsurance structuring and placement through multi-line analysis, stochastic underwriting models, client presentations, and development of actuarial tools and processes.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 2 actuarial exams completed

Strongly preferred

  • 0-2 years of actuarial experience
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with programming languages (preferably R or Python)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • 2+ years of P&C actuarial, reinsurance, or consulting experience

Nice to have

  • Stochastic modeling or dynamic financial analysis experience
