Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the internship rotates exposure through projects, mentors, and departments rather than one deep modelling mandate.

Summer 2027 Life actuarial internship in Addison, Texas, within an insurer’s actuarial department. Interns will support product development or valuation by updating models, querying data, analyzing trends, and using SQL, Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau. The 10-week paid program includes formal onboarding, mentors, networking, and a cross-department project.

Requirements

Must have

  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • No visa sponsorship available – must be eligible to work without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Passing score on at least 1 SOA actuarial exam
  • Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude
  • Ability to work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong coordination, communication, and influencing skills

Nice to have

  • Preferably a Junior in College with graduation May 2026
  • Experience with database software (SQL Server and/or Access)
