Role type

Structured actuarial student programme

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because mentoring, coaching, networking, and the group project are prominent.

Life actuarial internship in Addison, Texas, supporting product development and valuation work for life insurance and annuity products. You will update actuarial models, query and analyze data, and investigate business trends using SQL, Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau. The 10-week program is onsite four days per week during core days.

Requirements

Must have

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Passing score on at least 1 SOA actuarial exam
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • No visa sponsorship available

Strongly preferred

  • Expected graduation in May 2026 (Junior)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude
  • Ability to work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Experience with database software (preferably SQL Server and/or Access)
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong coordination, communication, and influencing skills
