Closer to client advisory than a modelling-heavy individual-contributor role because engagement liaison and delivery responsibilities shape the work.

Senior Life actuarial advisory role in KPMG’s Audit & Assurance Practice in Austin, Texas. You’ll support client engagements for life insurers and reinsurers across valuation, financial reporting, capital assessment, modeling, and transformation, while mentoring junior staff and progressing toward ASA.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum three years of recent actuarial experience in insurance, reinsurance, consulting, auditing, financial reporting, valuation, or modeling
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

Strongly preferred

  • Progress toward ASA designation
  • Strong understanding of Life, Annuity, and Long-Duration Health products
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Statutory Accounting, IFRS, RBC, Economic Capital, and BSCR
  • Experience with actuarial valuation, financial reporting, and modeling platforms (AXIS, Prophet, Pathwise, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
