Role type

Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to consulting client service than a pricing-underwriting partner role because the work spans audit and advisory engagements for multiple insurers.

Senior P&C actuarial consulting role in KPMG's Chicago Audit practice. You'll support loss reserving, ratemaking, experience studies, modeling, and advisory work across commercial lines, personal lines, and reinsurance, while serving insurance-company clients.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum three years recent experience in property and casualty actuarial area
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Passed two actuarial exams
  • Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize without intensive direction
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Solid technical writing and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • ASA or ACAS certification preferred
