Client-facing actuarial consultant

Consulting/client-facing rather than a reserving cycle role—the work spans audit and advisory engagements for multiple insurance clients.

Senior P&C actuarial consulting role in KPMG’s Houston, Texas Audit practice. You’ll support loss reserving, ratemaking, experience studies, and modeling across commercial lines, personal lines, and reinsurance projects, while working with insurance clients and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years of recent P&C actuarial experience
  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Two actuarial exams passed
  • Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, etc.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize without intensive direction
  • Strong working knowledge of actuarial software and database software (Excel, Access)
  • Solid technical writing and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Associate of SOA or CAS certification preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

Ideal for a Senior P&C actuarial professional with at least three years of experience and two passed exams, ideally pursuing ACAS or ASA.
