Role type

P&C consulting and client-facing advisory

Closer to client-facing consulting than a specialist carrier role because the work spans multiple insurance clients and engagement types rather than one internal portfolio.

Senior P&C actuarial consulting role in Philadelphia supporting audit and advisory work for commercial lines, personal lines, and reinsurance clients. You’ll contribute to loss reserving, ratemaking, modeling, data work, client liaison, and engagement support, with at least three years of experience and two passed exams expected.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 3 years recent P&C actuarial experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Passed at least 2 actuarial exams
  • Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics
  • Strong working knowledge of actuarial software and database software (Excel, Access)
  • Solid technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize without intensive supervision

Nice to have

  • ASA or ACAS certification preferred
