The role is client-facing, requires an FSA, management of junior staff, and is based in the US (Chicago, Milwaukee, or Hartford preferred; remote considered).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Client-facing Medicare / provider VBP actuarial manager role
- Advise on MSSP performance, risk adjustment, and TCOC benchmarking
- Lead workstreams and manage/mentor junior actuarial staff
- Perform data analysis with Excel, SAS, Python, and SQL
- Preferred on-site in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Hartford; remote considered
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Medicare program experience (Medicare Advantage or ACO)
- Provider value-based payment (VBP) consulting
- Risk adjustment and shared-savings modeling
- ACO/MSSP performance and total cost of care benchmarking
- Managing and mentoring actuarial staff
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA designation required
- 4–7 years of actuarial experience primarily with Medicare (MA or ACO)
- Proven experience managing and mentoring actuarial staff
- Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills
- Hands-on data analysis in Excel, SAS, Python, and SQL
