Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting partnership role than a modelling-heavy individual contributor position because pricing analysis is applied to live terms, structures, and broker discussions.

Senior P&C actuarial pricing role with QBE Re in New York, focused on treaty reinsurance portfolios. You’ll develop and govern pricing methods and models, advise underwriters on terms and structures, and translate portfolio analysis into commercially relevant decisions. The role is hybrid, with 2-3 office days per week.

Requirements

Must have

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Progressive experience within actuarial career, preferably with exposure to pricing Property and Casualty insurance and/or reinsurance
Solid background in (re)insurance, including reserving and/or pricing
Experience in developing and modifying actuarial models
Actuarial qualification or progress toward qualification (FCAS, ACAS, or equivalent)
