Closer to capital and risk strategy than a pure underwriting partnership role, because the scope spans enterprise structures, captive oversight, accounting bases, and capital financing.

Director-level Life actuarial role in enterprise reinsurance, based in Newport Beach, Omaha, or Charlotte. You will structure and negotiate reinsurance arrangements, model complex transactions, oversee inforce programs and captive activities, and advise senior stakeholders across the enterprise. The role requires an FSA or career ASA and 10+ years of life, annuity, or reinsurance experience.

Requirements

Must have

FSA or career ASA designation
10+ years of life insurance, annuity, and/or reinsurance experience

Strongly preferred

Prior reinsurance experience
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to work with different stakeholder groups
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strategic, technical, and analytical mindset
Effective project management skills
Ability to lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Nice to have

Prior experience with non-traditional reinsurance such as capital financing
