Role Summary

Senior life actuary leading second-line model risk oversight for Pacific Life's Life insurance models across Financial Reporting, Product Development, and Forecasting. This on-site/hybrid role in Newport Beach, CA (or Omaha/Charlotte) reports to the VP of Model Risk Management and requires an FSA with deep Life product experience. You will challenge methodologies, drive improvements, and provide expert guidance to senior leaders and risk committees.

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years of actuarial experience with FSA designation
  • Deep experience with Life products and actuarial modeling, financial reporting, or pricing
  • Ability to challenge technical work and influence senior leaders
  • Experience reviewing, validating, or developing complex actuarial models
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
