Senior Health Actuary role in UPMC Health Plan’s Health Economics department, based in Pittsburgh with fully remote or hybrid options. You’ll analyze healthcare claims, utilization, and medical costs; build actuarial and financial tools; develop affordability strategies; and present recommendations to leadership. The role requires an ASA or FSA and prefers about five years of progressively responsible health actuarial experience.

5+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial work in health insura
Experience with Milliman HCG data
Experience with Power BI
Experience with claims-based experience analysis
Experience with trend analysis
Experience with population health
Experience with network and reimbursement analysis
Experience with commercial and government health programs
In-depth understanding of health insurance market dynamics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Adaptability and ability to prioritize effectively
