Senior Life actuarial modeling role with FIS’s US Actuarial Library team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You’ll enhance Prophet actuarial code and libraries supporting life, annuity, and health products, while addressing US statutory, GAAP, tax, ALM, and regulatory requirements. The role is onsite and pays $101,500-$172,550.
Requirements
Must have
- At least 5 years of experience working within a life insurance organization or actuarial consulting environment
- At least 5 years of experience using Prophet or demonstrably equivalent actuarial modeling platform
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or another quantitative or science-based discipline
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Strong knowledge of the US insurance industry and applicable regulatory and financial reporting frameworks
- Knowledge of US Statutory pre-PBR and PBR, US GAAP pre-LDTI and LDTI, US Tax reserves, and ALM or cash flow testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Familiarity with US actuarial libraries supplied with Prophet, preferably US 360 libraries
- Experience with advanced Prophet modeling techniques (new business processing, calculation looping, rebasing, goal seeking, extended formulas, nested structures, modules, dynamic/stochastic modeling)
- Understanding of model performance bottlenecks and optimization approaches
- Technical knowledge of programming and systems development
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and technology
