Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a capital strategy role because Prophet architecture and validation, rather than enterprise risk policy, define the position.

Senior Life actuarial modeling and ALM role supporting annuity reinsurance in the United States. You will own and validate Prophet models for financial reporting, capital planning, liquidity, pricing, and strategic decisions, while partnering with Investments and senior management. The role is remote for candidates in the Eastern or Central US.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field
FSA designation
Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience with significant, hands-on Prophet modeling responsibility
Direct experience building, enhancing, and owning Prophet models for annuity products
Advanced, hands-on expertise in FIS Prophet (model build, enhancement, execution, validation, governance)

Strongly preferred

Strong understanding of annuity product mechanics, cash-flow modeling, and reinsurance structures
Advanced technical skills in actuarial modeling tools and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex modeling concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including leading or managing a small team as needed
High ethical standards and professional integrity
