Closer to a modeling-heavy IC role than a reserving cycle role because Prophet architecture, validation, and governance are the defining ownership areas.
Senior Life actuarial modeling and ALM role with Martello Re, a US reinsurer. You will own and validate Prophet models for annuity reinsurance, supporting financial reporting, capital planning, ALM, pricing, and strategic decisions. The role is remote for candidates in the Eastern or Central United States and requires an FSA plus at least five years of hands-on Prophet experience.
Requirements
Must have
- FSA designation
- 5+ years of actuarial experience with significant hands-on Prophet modeling
- Direct experience building, enhancing, and owning Prophet models for annuity products
- Advanced hands-on expertise in FIS Prophet (model build, execution, validation, governance)
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field
Strongly preferred
- Experience with Prophet ALS
- Prior experience in Life & Annuities insurance or reinsurance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to clearly communicate complex modeling concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Programming skills (Python, R)
