Pricing partner to business teams

Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC because recommendations must shape coverage, product, and profitable-growth decisions.

Senior P&C pricing role in Nationwide’s Personal Lines Property business, available fully remote from Des Moines, Iowa or elsewhere in the lower 48 states. You’ll own pricing strategy for a complex state, advise on product and coverage changes, use actuarial and market analysis, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

Must have

  • Seven or more years of actuarial experience
  • FCAS or equivalent actuarial designation

Strongly preferred

  • Expert knowledge of actuarial methods, statistical analysis, pricing, actuarial models, databases, and analytical tools
  • Ability to exercise actuarial judgment and turn analysis into business recommendations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, personal lines, pricing, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or similar

Nice to have

  • Advanced analytics, predictive modeling, programming, and modeling-software experience
