Senior P&C actuarial role on Nationwide's Pet business in Columbus, OH (role may be filled elsewhere in the lower 48). You will build and maintain pricing and valuation models, set reserves under multiple accounting regimes, perform reinsurance analysis, and partner with product and leadership to price and launch pet insurance products.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Build and maintain pricing, projection, and valuation models for pet insurance
- Analyze complex data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Price products, perform reinsurance analysis, and establish reserves (statutory/GAAP/tax)
- Use R, Python, SQL and Excel/VBA; create reporting tools and Tableau dashboards
- Role intended for Columbus, OH but candidates across the lower 48 may be considered
DOMAIN EXPERTISE

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ASA or ACAS designation required
- 4–7 years of actuarial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, or similar required
- Proficiency with R, Python, SQL and Excel/VBA
- Eligible to work in the US without employer-sponsored authorization
