Closer to a pricing-underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role because new and renewal plan sponsor opportunities are a defined part of the work.

Entry-level Health actuarial analyst role in Chittenden County, Vermont, supporting pricing and financial management for fully insured employer health business. You’ll develop pricing assumptions, analyze large datasets, monitor results, and partner with underwriting, finance, and other teams on new and renewal business.

Requirements

Must have

  • 0-1 years of related experience
  • Pursuing ASA with 1-2 exams passed
  • Experience working with large and detailed data sets

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related quantitative field
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Solid technical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Be organized, data driven, statistically minded and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated, intellectually curious with a desire to continuously improve processes
  • Be adaptable as business needs and priorities evolve
