Assistant Actuary role on Ameritas' Corporate Actuarial Model Development team. You will develop, test and validate life and annuity asset-liability projection models using FIS Prophet, own large model development projects, and help ensure model governance and regulatory compliance. Location options include Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH with flexible hybrid or remote arrangements.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and test Prophet asset and liability projection models
- Ensure adherence to Model Risk Management and coding standards
- Own project management for large-scale model development initiatives
- Provide guidance and training to other actuarial associates
- Flexible work options: hybrid (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) or remote
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Prophet model development and testing
- Asset and liability projection modeling
- Actuarial model risk management and governance
- Knowledge of insurance products, theory and regulation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years related experience (3-5+ years stated)
- Hands-on Prophet model development experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or similar
- Advanced knowledge of insurance products, actuarial theory and regulation
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
