Client-facing reinsurance advisory

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC: varied client advisory and broker interaction define the role more than standalone model ownership.

Assistant Vice President role in Gallagher Re’s Health reinsurance practice, based in Portland, Maine, with remote work considered. You’ll advise health insurers, MGUs, employer stop-loss carriers, and providers on reinsurance structures, pricing, risk management, ERM, and ORSA, while supporting actuarial tools and client relationships.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of related experience

Strongly preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and advanced mathematical/actuarial skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, R, and Power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Membership of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) with ASA designation
  • Strong exam progress toward FSA or FIA
  • Moderate travel availability
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
