Closer to a reserving cycle role than a modelling-heavy position because quarterly analyses, close support, and reporting cadence outweigh model-building ownership.

Entry-level P&C reserving role in Des Moines, Iowa, supporting quarterly loss and LAE analyses across multiple lines of business. You’ll maintain reserving models, analyze data and trends, support financial reporting, and work with Finance, Claims, and Underwriting. The role includes paid actuarial study time, exam support, and an actuarial rotation program.

Requirements

Must have

Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam
Demonstrated commitment to pursuing ACAS credential
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance or related field
2 to 4 actuarial exams
Prior internship experience in insurance, actuarial, finance, analytics, or related field
Experience with R, SQL or other querying/programming languages
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating across teams
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, governance, and documentation standards
