Associate Actuary (Health) focused on Medicaid-managed care forecasting, budgeting, and measuring the financial and clinical value of programs. You will build forecasting and IBNR models, analyze utilization and revenue/risk score trends, and present insights to senior leadership and business development teams. Role is based in Texas and works with healthcare claims and value-based/shared-savings arrangements.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Forecast cost and revenue for Medicaid managed care programs
- Measure value-based/shared-savings performance and report insights
- Develop IBNR and variance analysis to inform leadership decisions
- Partner with Business Development and Finance on new opportunities
- Requires ASA or FSA and 3+ years healthcare/managed care actuarial experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial experience in healthcare or managed care
- Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare claims data
- Cost and revenue forecasting in healthcare
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ASA or FSA required
- Minimum of 3 years actuarial experience in healthcare, managed care, or consulting
- Knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare claims data
- SQL and/or SAS skills
- Bachelor’s degree
