Director-level health actuarial forecasting role supporting national pricing forecasts, long-term projections, and bid assumptions for a major US insurer. You will lead forecasting analytics, own bid assumption substantiation and audit, and communicate drivers of forecast change to senior leadership. Position is remote (US) with occasional travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead national pricing forecasts and long-term financial projections
- Own bid assumptions, desk review, substantiation, and bid audits
- Oversee emerging claims experience reporting and actual-to-expected analysis
- Remote role with occasional travel to offices for training/meetings
- Requires an ASA or FSA and MAAA with prior people leadership experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- National pricing forecast and long-term projections
- Ownership of bid assumptions and bid audit processes
- Emerging claims experience reporting and actual-to-expected analysis
- Experience across modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting, reserving or trending
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA or ASA required (plus MAAA membership)
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proven experience leading sizable staff and human capital leaders
- Experience across more than three actuarial functions and multiple products
- Strong communication skills with senior leadership
