AVP, Actuarial Pricing supporting Arch's Entertainment Business Unit in Saint Paul, MN. Lead a team to deliver pricing, profitability reviews and large-account premium recommendations across Auto, GL, Property, Inland Marine, Workers' Comp and Umbrella. Develop pricing tools, monitor rate adequacy and drive actuarial studies. Senior role requiring ACAS/FCAS (or equivalent), 8+ years' experience and strong Python/SQL/VBA skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial pricing for the Entertainment Business Unit in St. Paul, MN
- Provide premium recommendations for large new and renewal accounts
- Perform profitability reviews across Auto, GL, Property and Workers Comp
- Design, program and maintain pricing and monitoring tools (Python/SQL/VBA)
- Lead and coach a team of actuaries; present to business unit leaders
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C pricing and profitability analysis
- Large account pricing and renewals
- Portfolio monitoring and rate adequacy analysis
- Experience partnering with underwriting, claims and reinsurance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ACAS or FCAS (or similarly qualified professional) required
- 8+ years of relevant P&C actuarial experience
- Strong programming skills: Python, SQL, VBA
- Experience in pricing, profitability analysis and large account pricing
- Experience leading and managing actuarial staff
