People leader in actuarial and pricing analytics
Closer to people leadership than a modelling-heavy IC role—the remit includes department direction, senior-manager supervision, staffing, budgets, and development.
Executive P&C actuarial leadership role in Pleasanton, California, with a hybrid work pattern. You will lead actuarial and pricing analytics across commercial auto, workers' compensation, commercial property, and general liability, advise senior leadership, and manage a team supporting enterprise growth, profitability, and new markets.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics or related field
- Minimum 10 years of related experience, including demonstrated experience managing multiple lines of business or enterprise-wide initiatives
- ACAS required
Strongly preferred
- Advanced degree in related fields
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
- Thorough knowledge of actuarial and pricing analytics models and knowledge of commercial lines of business
- Experience managing complex projects, resources and staff
- Broad company and industry experience and expertise
- Ability to mentor and train actuarial staff
- Ability to take actuarial and pricing analytics ownership of multiple lines of business
- Ability to shape and drive strategic vision of the actuarial and pricing analytics department and broader enterprise
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence outcomes with senior executive leadership
