AVP & Actuary role in American National’s Life and annuity actuarial organization in League City, Texas. You’ll provide enterprise-wide support across pricing, valuation, financial reporting, ALM, VM-22, reinsurance, and transaction analysis. The role suits an ASA-qualified actuarial professional who can own complex work independently in a fast-changing environment.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
  • ASA designation required
  • Strong technical actuarial background with hands-on experience in modeling, analytics, and financial analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling tools and data analysis techniques

Strongly preferred

  • Progress toward FSA or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple actuarial disciplines (e.g., pricing, valuation, ALM, reporting)
  • Ability to work independently and own deliverables
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high quality output with minimal direction
