Capital and risk strategy leader
Closer to capital and risk strategy than people leadership—the team management supports enterprise ALM and emerging-risk decisions rather than being the primary remit.
Director-level Life actuarial role in Radnor, Pennsylvania, with alternate locations and a three-day-per-week office hybrid schedule. You will lead new-business ALM and emerging-risk pricing analysis for individual annuities, connecting investment, capital, liquidity, and pricing insights to strategic decisions while managing an actuarial team.
Requirements
Must have
- 10+ years of actuarial experience
- FSA designation (or ASA with additional years of actuarial experience)
Strongly preferred
- Annuity product knowledge and general insurance/business knowledge
- Demonstrated success in providing strategic and holistic thought leadership
- Experience building and mentoring actuarial talent
- Experience with actuarial modeling platforms and programming/analytics tools (e.g. AXIS, Python, SQL)
Nice to have
- Curiosity, comfort asking questions and challenging the status quo, and critical thinking with an eye for innovation
