Senior P&C reserving leadership role (AVP) responsible for corporate actuarial reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book in Chicago. You will own reserve analyses, regulatory and SOX-related processes, lead a reserving team, and partner with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Own reserving and loss analytics for the Programs book (Auto, GL, Prop, WC)
  • Lead reserving projects and develop high-performing actuarial teams
  • Manage NAIC SOA, US GAAP, Statutory reporting, SOX and audit interactions
  • Use SQL, Power BI, Snowflake and Python for analytics and reporting
  • Chicago-based AVP role with significant executive-facing responsibilities

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Property and casualty reserving
  • Programs book experience across Auto, GL, Property and WC
  • US GAAP and Statutory reserving and reporting
  • NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion and audit interactions
  • SOX compliance and regulatory communication experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years in actuarial roles within the property & casualty industry
  • 5+ years of reserving function experience
  • Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS)
  • Expert SQL and Excel skills; Power BI, Snowflake and Python preferred
  • Proven experience leading and developing actuarial teams
