Director-level P&C reserving role owning Reserving & Loss Analytics for the Programs book in Jersey City, NJ. You will lead reserving, regulatory and SOX processes, present quarterly reserve analyses to executives and regulators, and partner with pricing, underwriting, claims and finance. The role requires deep reserving expertise and actuarial credentials (ACAS/FCAS).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Own Reserving and Loss Analytics for the Programs book (Auto, GL, Prop, WC)
- Manage NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion and regulatory/audit communications
- Lead cross-functional projects with underwriting, pricing, claims and finance
- Leverage SQL, Snowflake, Power BI and Python for advanced analytics
- Director-level role based in Jersey City, NJ with incentive eligibility
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Progressive P&C actuarial experience
- 5+ years in a reserving function
- Reserving for Auto, GL, Property and Workers' Compensation
- Experience with regulatory and audit processes (NAIC SOA, SOX)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years in progressively complex P&C actuarial roles
- 5+ years of reserving function experience
- Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS)
- Expert Excel and SQL skills; Power BI, Snowflake and Python preferred
- Proven experience leading and developing actuarial teams
