Associate Life actuarial modeling role on MassMutual's Life Valuation Modeling Team, based in New York, Springfield, or Boston. You'll use AXIS for statutory, GAAP/LDTI, and tax valuation across individual life products, supporting cash flow testing, model updates, financial reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field
ASA designation
4+ years of actuarial experience in insurance or financial services
1+ years of experience with AXIS
FSA designation
4+ years of AXIS experience, including model leadership or stewardship roles
Accountability and ownership of long-term independent projects
Proficient with AXIS features (DataLink, investment cells, scenario files, embedded block processing)
Understanding of modeling infrastructure (ELink, GridLink, output databases)
Expertise identifying multiple solutions and developing collaborative solutions to software limitations
Ability to estimate resource requirements and set expectations with key stakeholders
Experience with Principle-Based Reserves, valuation regulations, product design, modeling assumptions, inforce data
Proficient with MS Excel and SQL
Strong math, analytical and collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
