Role Summary

Role type

Modeling-heavy individual contributor

Closer to a modeling-heavy IC role than a routine reserving cycle role because model design, infrastructure, and stewardship outweigh recurring reporting production.

Associate-level Life actuarial valuation modeling role with MassMutual's Life Valuation Modeling team in Springfield, Boston, or New York. You will use AXIS to support statutory, GAAP/LDTI, and tax valuation for individual life products, including cash flow testing, model updates, and financial-result communication.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative/technical field
  • ASA designation
  • 4+ years of actuarial experience
  • 1+ years of Axis experience

Nice to have

  • FSA designation
  • 4+ years of Axis experience with model leadership
  • Experience with Principle-Based Reserves and valuation regulations
  • Proficient with MS Excel and SQL
  • Strong communication skills
