You will prepare and scrub property exposure data, run RMS/AIR catastrophe models, and communicate loss estimates and recommendations to underwriting, actuarial and senior management. Requires a data-focused modeller with strong SQL/Excel/Tableau skills and 6+ years of cat modeling experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Prepare model-ready property exposure data and run RMS/AIR catastrophe models
- Analyze loss results, perform scenario modeling, and quantify portfolio concentrations
- Collaborate with data engineers, underwriters and actuaries using SQL and Excel
- Produce analytical reports and communicate findings to senior management
- Onsite role in Cedar Rapids, IA with up to 10% travel
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Catastrophe modeling with 6+ years experience
- Experience with RMS or AIR catastrophe modeling software
- Property catastrophe exposure analysis
- Preparing model-ready data using SQL and Excel
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of catastrophe modeling experience
- Bachelor's degree required (STEM preferred)
- Proficiency with SQL and advanced Excel
- Strong knowledge of RMS and AIR catastrophe modeling software
