Ten-week Assumed Reinsurance internship in Cedar Rapids, IA supporting underwriting, reinsurance operations, reporting and CAT modelling. You will assist the Director of Assumed Reinsurance, work with actuarial and CAT modelling teams on catastrophe frequency/severity forecasting, and support submission analysis and broker communication.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Ten-week Assumed Reinsurance internship in Cedar Rapids, IA
- Support underwriting, submission analysis, and reinsurance operations
- Assist with reinsurance reporting, including MGA programs
- Work with CAT modelling and actuarial teams on catastrophe forecasting
- Network with leadership and present solutions to executive team
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Enrolled in actuarial science, risk management, finance or related degree
- General knowledge of insurance or reinsurance principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a related field
- General knowledge of insurance or reinsurance principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
