Full-time actuarial science faculty role at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor rank. You will teach undergraduate and master’s actuarial courses, mentor students, contribute professional service, and maintain engagement with the actuarial profession. A relevant Ph.D. and near-completion of SOA, CAS, or mutually recognized credentials are required.

Must have
Completed one credentialing requirement within previous three years
Strongly preferred
Ph.D. in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or closely related field by time of appointment
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring in actuarial science
No more than two remaining exams toward Associateship or Fellowship with SOA, CAS, or mutually recognized society
Experience in curriculum development in actuarial science or related disciplines
Demonstrated success working with diverse students and colleagues
Active engagement with actuarial profession within previous five years
Service to actuarial profession through volunteer activities with SOA, CAS, or other recognized organization
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with actuarial industry
Presentations at or participation in national/international actuarial science conferences
Demonstrated commitment to advancing ASU Charter principles with faculty, staff, students, communities
