Closer to a reserving cycle role than a modelling-heavy internship because quarterly monitoring and established actuarial checks define the work.

P&C corporate reserving internship with Munich Re in Princeton, NJ or New York City. You’ll support reinsurance reserving analyses, loss development selections, quarterly monitoring, technical checks, and department presentations while working with actuaries and senior leaders.

Requirements

Must have

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Risk Management, or equivalent program
Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship (no OPT/CPT)

Strongly preferred

Successful completion of one CAS/SOA exam
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrates leadership qualities: clear-thinking, curiosity, integrity, and drive
Enthusiasm for learning and working in the reinsurance industry
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
