Closer to a pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC—the VP owns product decisions and leads a team rather than working mainly as an individual modeller.

Corporate Vice President and actuarial leadership role in New York Life’s Life business, focused on retail individual annuity pricing and product development. You’ll own the pricing portfolio, lead a team, shape products from concept through implementation, and advise senior stakeholders. The role is hybrid in New York, with three office days each week.

Requirements

Must have

FSA credentials required
Actuarial modeling experience required

Strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
10+ years of actuarial experience
Demonstrated experience leading actuarial teams and developing talent
Strong knowledge of retail annuity products, pricing methodologies, and product development processes
Experience collaborating across business functions and influencing senior stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business recommendations
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead complex initiatives, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
Strategic thinker with a demonstrated commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

Nice to have

Experience with Prophet actuarial modeling software is preferred
Experience with Python, Codex, Tableau, GitHub, Databricks, or related tools is a plus
