Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Data store development lead
    • Point of contact for IT data related questions
    • Perform initial UAT of all test packages before sending to Super User group
    • Work with Actuarial SMEs to ensure required testing is completed
    • Coordinate with FRD & Actuarial team to outline required changes to FRD and manage to ensure changes are completed & E2E testing is successful
    • Work with users to help them create complete requirements for requested enhancements & new development
    • Communicate with entire Actuarial team on status, timeline, issues, enhancements, etc.
    • Assist in providing suggested short term & long term solutions for XDRs
    • Prepare & present topics that are discussed with Data Governance Committee
  • Actuarial data liaison
    • Guide users from Actuarial department on data related questions
    • Collaborate with Actuarial, FRD, & ED IT during quarter close to ensure released data is reviewed timely, issues are reported using Smartsheet process, and issues are addressed appropriately and timely
    • Work with users to support them in recognizing the benefits of the daily refresh of data
    • Review data used for key reports to ensure accuracy
    • Collaborate with Data Governance VP & Lead regarding data quality
    • Support Actuarial department in writing Snowflake queries to the data store

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of property and casualty insurance industry experience required
  • Preferred actuarial experience, with 2+ exams completed
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • SnowSQL or SQL experience preferred


For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

110,000 - 150,000
  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
