Closer to pricing/underwriting partnership than a pure modelling-heavy IC—the deciding factor is frequent influence on live pricing decisions and underwriting strategy.

Senior P&C pricing role on Liberty Mutual’s Global Surety Actuarial Pricing team in West Virginia. You’ll own and improve the Subcontractor Default Insurance pricing model, perform complex analyses and reinsurance work, and advise underwriting leadership on pricing and business decisions.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience

Strongly preferred

Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) or comparable designation
Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards, as well as financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales operations
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and mentor peers and train subordinates
Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS) with ability to build complex models

Nice to have

Master's degree
