Health actuarial consulting Analyst III role in Irvine, California, supporting employer health benefits strategies. You’ll work on financial projections, plan design, carrier selection, IBNP valuations, benchmarking, contribution setting, and renewal negotiations, while managing client projects and presenting findings. The hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Must have
2-5 years of relevant work experience in consulting, insurance, finance, human resources or accounting
BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, finance, economics or related field
Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis or financial modeling
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities
Strongly preferred
Two or more actuarial exams passed
Work experience in actuarial consulting, especially within healthcare
One or two exams away from earning ASA designation
Nice to have
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Experience presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience
