Closer to client-facing reinsurance consulting than an underwriting-partner role because the work advises brokers and clients across programs and transactions.
Senior P&C reinsurance actuarial role with Guy Carpenter in Philadelphia, offered on a hybrid basis. You’ll assess risk exposures, build MetaRisk analyses, advise brokers and clients on reinsurance programs, and support transactions and business development. The role suits candidates with 2+ years of insurance experience and at least one actuarial exam.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Accounting, Physics, or a related field
- 2+ years of actuarial or related experience in underwriting, brokerage, or P&C insurance
- At least one actuarial exam completed
- Curious, proactive, growth-oriented with ability to lead internal initiatives
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office products
Nice to have
- 1+ year of experience or internship in insurance or reinsurance
- Progress towards CAS track
- Familiarity with R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Power BI
