Role type

Reinsurance pricing partner to brokers

Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC, because broker and client transaction support is central to the role.

Senior P&C reinsurance actuarial role in Minneapolis, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three office days weekly. You’ll analyze client data and risk exposures, build MetaRisk analyses, advise brokers on reinsurance programs, and support transactions and new business.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Accounting, Physics, or related field
  • 2+ years of actuarial or related experience in underwriting, brokerage, or P&C insurance
  • At least one actuarial exam completed

Strongly preferred

  • Curious, proactive, growth-oriented, able to lead internal initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office

Nice to have

  • 1+ year of experience or internship in insurance or reinsurance
  • Progress towards CAS track
  • Familiarity with R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Power BI
