Senior Health actuarial consulting role in Bloomington, Minnesota, supporting employer medical, dental, life, disability, and other group benefit programs. You’ll perform pricing, plan design, reserving, claims reporting, financial modelling, and client deliverables while working with vendors and client teams. The role is hybrid and offers a $75,000-$90,000 base salary plus potential bonus.
Requirements
Must have
State Life and Health license (must obtain within 90 days of joining)
Strongly preferred
2+ years of professional services experience in benefit consulting, health underwriting, or actuarial
Basic knowledge of health and welfare products and services
Knowledge of carrier claim reporting
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables
Strong client service orientation
Proven ability to identify and resolve issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Relevant financial experience or university degree
Nice to have
Ability to learn big data analytic techniques
Progress towards health actuarial designation or CEBS designation
