Closer to client-facing consulting than an internal reserving cycle role because revenue, sales pursuits and external market visibility are explicit.

Senior Director P&C reserving consulting role with WTW’s North America P&C Reserving Proposition, based in Hartford, CT with remote/virtual flexibility. You’ll lead reserving, reserve transformation and automation engagements for US, Canadian and Bermuda insurance and reinsurance clients, while developing business, mentoring professionals and shaping technology solutions.

Requirements

Must have

  • Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS)
  • At least 15 years of relevant reserving experience
  • Will meet qualification standards to sign NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinion for year-end 2026
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Available to travel as needed

Strongly preferred

  • Deep knowledge of the North America P&C insurance market, including personal lines, commercial lines and reinsurance
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making at senior levels
  • Self-driven, comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data
  • Practiced in contributing to complex, high-profile projects and communicating technical insights to non-actuarial executive audiences
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • The ability to see the 'big picture,' leveraging resources of related practices
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
