Position Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Lead Pricing & Product Development Consultant will lead State Filing & Statistical Reporting resources with a dotted lined to the Manager by establishing clear expectations, providing strategic guidance, and driving consistent progress toward project objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between management and cross-functional business units, continuously assessing project timelines, resource allocation and deliverables to proactively identify potential risks, obstacles or delays.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
- Serve as subject matter expert on State Filing or Statistical Reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy across jurisdictions
- Act as a primary liaison between management, business units and external vendors to align on project goals deliverable and timelines.
- Lead and delegate assignments based on skillset, project deadlines and capacity
- Partner with management to adjust project scope, resources, timelines and project priorities as needed
- Set clear expectations and provide strategic direction, with authority to determine next steps and resolve process-related decisions
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending alternative approaches.
- Deliver ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members to foster growth and accountability
- Monitor and evaluate project timelines, resource distribution and deliverables to identify and mitigate risks or delays
- Lead the execution of complex to highly complex ad hoc assignments including:
- Multi-state or multi-product regulatory filings
- Ad hoc statistical reporting
- Unexpected regulatory requirements
- Complex state implementations beyond standard rate revisions
- Present finings, recommendations and updates to leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Support department goals by leading initiatives to enhance data quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or
- Relevant professional/technical certification, or
- Equivalent relevant work experience
Experience:
- 3-5 years as a Pricing and Product Dev Consultant or in a related consulting role
- Proven success in analyzing data flows in manual and automated systems
- Assessing and prioritizing business values of information/reporting requests
- Managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, including planning, execution and risk mitigation
- Determining data requirements and documenting action plans
- Investigating and resolving production/business/member/branch problems
- Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements in regulatory or product development.
- Interpreting and applying multi-state insurance regulations to product development or filings.
- Presenting research and statistical analysis to support corporate decision-making
- Preparing and presenting regulatory findings, project updates, or strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Submitting program queries and reports against relational databases
- Demonstrated success in leading projects, teams/cross/functional or mentoring junior staff in a regulatory or product development environment to meet department goals and objective
Knowledge of:
- Insurance regulations and industry best practices and processes
- Insurance publications and research data sources
- Regulatory language related to Policy Forms
- Geo-coding systems
- Decision support tools (e.g. Excel)

III. Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Professional insurance related coursework (e.g., AAN, IIA, IDMA, CPCU or Actuarial Science)
Experience:
- Working with technical/business staff to develop reports
- Balancing controls for internal department processes
- Designing, coding and coordinating the implementation and documentation of internal automated/manual systems
Knowledge of:
- ACG and insurance industry processing systems (e.g., CSC, AAA IMS, CPS, ALCAP)
- ACG and insurance industry products and services (e.g., auto, home, boat, VIP, Club, commercial insurance)
- AAA national guidelines and standards
- AAA member products and programs
- Project management methodologies
IV. Work Environment
This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operation unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
