Closer to a modelling-heavy IC than a reserving cycle role—the ad gives AXIS model ownership and technical leadership across pricing, forecasting, and valuation.
Senior Life actuarial role focused on Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIAs) in valuation, forecasting, model development, and assumption setting. The position partners with Life and Finance teams and is based in San Antonio, Plano, or Charlotte, with four days per week in the office. FSA or ASA credentials and meaningful AXIS experience are expected.
Requirements
Must have
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must work in office 4 days per week
Strongly preferred
- Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) with 8+ years experience
- Bachelor's degree (or 4 years related experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience with actuarial modeling software (AXIS) for pricing/valuation/risk management
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex actuarial analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- 5+ years of Moody's AXIS experience
- Advanced degree
- US military experience (military service or military spouse/domestic partner)
