Closer to client-facing consulting than an internal modelling role because client advice, project management and business development are explicit parts of the job.
Senior Health consulting actuary role with Milliman’s Tampa Health Practice, focused on US health insurance and pharmaceutical clients. You’ll lead pharmacy economic modelling, claims analytics, drug pricing and contracting work, and strategic advisory engagements for plans, PBMs, and manufacturers. The role is based in Tampa, with remote work potentially available.
Requirements
Must have
- ASA or higher designation
- MAAA membership in good standing
- 7+ years health actuarial experience
- At least 4 years experience focused on pharmacy benefits, drug pricing, or PBM economics
- Legally authorized to work in the US without the need for immigration support or sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims data
- Technical knowledge of Excel and SQL
- Experience building and using actuarial models
Nice to have
- Exposure to AI support tools such as Visual Studio Code or Microsoft Copilot
