JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Develop and apply monthly IBNR estimates and support monthly close processes
  • Calculate shared savings and prepare analyses for payer settlement discussions
  • Work with claims analytics to report revenue, risk score, and utilization trends
  • Manager-level role requiring 5+ years health actuarial experience and strong SQL

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Health actuarial experience
  • Medicaid managed care experience
  • Value-based reimbursement and shared savings calculations
  • IBNR development and application
  • Negotiating Medicaid capitation rates

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA)
  • Minimum 5 years of health actuarial experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Medicaid managed care experience
  • Experience with IBNR estimates and shared savings/capitation analyses
  • Strong SQL skills
