Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing and underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role, with live account, portfolio and reinsurance decisions plus team leadership.

Senior P&C pricing leadership role for North American cyber insurance, based in New York according to the job description. You will lead pricing support across US and Canadian business, develop pricing models, monitor profitability, support underwriting and reinsurance decisions, and manage analysts and interns.

Requirements

Must have

  • At least 10 years of insurance industry experience

Strongly preferred

  • Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and diligence
  • Self-starter, proactive and able to develop and implement new approaches
  • Competent user of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL, and VBA
  • Lead a team of analysts, rotational graduates, and interns

Nice to have

  • Insurance pricing experience
  • Knowledge of cyber as a product and/or peril
