Entry-level P&C actuarial analyst role in State Farm’s Property and Casualty Actuarial team, based in Tempe, Arizona with a hybrid schedule. You’ll develop actuarial recommendations, apply statistical and predictive models, analyze data, and work with business partners across a multi-line insurer. The role requires at least one actuarial exam and offers exam reimbursement and salary increases for additional passes.
Requirements
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or other analytical field
Minimum GPA of 3.25
At least one SOA or CAS actuarial exam passed
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Strongly preferred
Experience with data and statistical analysis in Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python
Prior actuarial internship or similar work experience
Intention to earn the ACAS/FCAS designation
Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Nice to have
GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
Two or more SOA or CAS actuarial exams passed preferred
Experience delivering multiple projects on time and with quality
Ability to collaborate with peers, managers, and stakeholders to define project scope and deliver shared outcomes
Ability to work in the gray and develop recommendations aligned to department and enterprise goals
