Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing-underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role because recommendations are shaped with Product and Underwriting for live program growth.

Senior P&C pricing role on State Farm’s Sharing Economy team in Tempe, Arizona, with hybrid work. You’ll analyze platform and insurance data, build actuarial tools, monitor trends, and develop pricing recommendations with Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Loss Reserves. The role requires at least three actuarial exams and two years of sharing-economy experience.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or another analytical field
  • Successful completion of at least three SOA or CAS exams
  • At least 2 years of experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company
  • Experience with data and statistical analysis in Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python
  • Eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor H-1B visa

Strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • ACAS designation preferred
  • Commitment to earn and/or maintain Continuing Education requirements for ACAS/FCAS designation
